Accident Sends CRD Employee to Emergency Room

A CRD employee recently tripped on the steps outside Bldg. 70 on his way to the cafeteria with a coworker and his supervisor. The employee hit his head on a concrete step and bled profusely. Quick action by the supervisor, calling the new emergency number 486-7911 from his cell phone, brought the fire department immediately. The co-worker brought napkins from the cafeteria to hold against his forehead to stop the bleeding. Fortunately the employee was not seriously hurt; he was taken to the emergency room and the cut was stitched. Be aware that in rainy weather many of our walkways may be slippery, and use of handrails is encouraged.
